All-White Bathrooms
Those of us who don’t love to clean are breathing a sigh of relief that all-what bathrooms are on their way out. Not only is it a pain to keep clean, but all-white is also stark, sterile, and just a bit boring. Instead, people are leaning toward more colors and textures to make their bathrooms unique and welcoming. Warm and organic elements, like wood, are taking the place of all-white designs.
Accent Walls
An accent wall might seem like a great idea, but when you actually incorporate it into your bathroom, you’ll find that it’s hard to create a coherent design. In a small room like a bathroom, having one wall in another color or pattern can overwhelm the space. If there’s a color or pattern that you really love, just go for it. Make a statement and put it on all four walls.
Subway Tiles
We remember when white rectangular subway tiles and black grout were what everyone wanted in their bathroom or shower. But now that we’ve spent some time with it, we’re not sure what everyone was thinking. If you’ve ever ridden the subway, you know isn’t exactly a relaxing and clean place. So why did we want our bathrooms to look like it? On top of that, it’s a little bit boring. Tiles come in so many different colors, shapes, and patterns, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t branch out to something more interesting and appealing.
